Be Still

In the silence of the morning, I hear you speak, “Be still.” I close my eyes and rest, waiting in Your peace-filled Presence.

Your words break through the quiet and once again, I hear Your gentle voice. “Be still and know. Know that I am the Creator of the universe. l have loved you from the very beginning. I knit every cell of your body together. You are a masterpiece.” I smile and rest in Your words of love.

I remember the ways You have expressed lovingkindness, provided comfort and guidance to my life. You have blessed me with the love of family and friends. You have been faithful to Your promises. I am thankful. I close my eyes and wait to hear Your voice.

Your words enter my thoughts, “Be still and know that I am God. I see you and love everything about you. Tell others your story, for it is their story as well. Love them as I love them. Love them as I have loved you.”

Be still.

My dear friends,

During this time of uncertainty, turn off the news, and take time to sit in the quiet Presence of God. May He calm your fears and restore your hope. Peace to you.

Blessings,

Carol Marchant Gibbs
