About the Author

Carol Marchant Gibbs cares deeply about justice, believing that God loves all people and desires everyone to live in freedom and safety in our world.

In 2018, she published Who Do You Say I Am? Personal Life Stories Told By the LGBTQ Community, in response to their family’s experience of belonging to an Evangelical church and loving their gay son.

Carol’s next book, Radical Resilience, chronicles stories of those enduring persecution because of race, sexual orientation, disability, or nationality, and the allies that have loved and supported them. Her hope is that the personal stories heard will create a change in hearts and the response that many people receive.

Carol treasures every moment with her two married sons, daughter-in-law, son-in-law and four wonderful grandchildren, and desires for them to live in such a world.

An educator by schooling and experience, Carol taught middle and elementary school, then devoted herself fully to raising her two young sons.

Carol has a bachelor of arts degree from Goucher College, and a master’s degree from Towson University, both in Towson, Maryland.
